We are thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration between Storybox NI, Acorn (a social enterprise operated by Bolster Community), and local artist, Amira McDonagh, as we come together to raise awareness of mental health and support suicide prevention. Our joint effort has resulted in the creation of a ‘candle with cause’ called Lough Neagh Dawn, a symbol of hope and positivity. For every candle purchased, £2 will be donated to local mental health charity, PIPS Suicide Prevention. This bespoke candle embodies the spirit of Northern Ireland, while promoting positive mental well-being.

About the Candle
The Lough Neagh Dawn Candle is made from natural soy wax and carries a captivating scent, carefully curated to evoke the beauty of the lough during spring and summer. A harmonious blend of white musk and amber captures the freshness of the water, while the warm notes of amber symbolise the promise of a new day dawning. As you light the candle and breathe in its soothing fragrance, let its gentle glow serve as a reminder that each day brings renewed possibilities and hope.
The artwork adorning the Lough Neagh Dawn Candle has been meticulously handpainted by Amira McDonagh. Drawing inspiration from the breathtaking landscapes of N. Ireland, the candle captures the essence of Lough Neagh, a central point connecting the counties. As we know, feeling well connected to others is crucial for our mental health, physical well-being, and overall sense of purpose so we wanted this to be represented through the artwork.
We are incredibly excited to unveil this remarkable collaboration and invite you to join us in this important cause. The Lough Neagh Dawn Candles will be available for purchase on our website starting Tuesday, 27th June at 9am. We will also offer corporate gifting options for those looking to make a meaningful impact.
