On 13 January 2026, we were proud to make another donation to PIPS Suicide Prevention Ireland. Over the last six months, we have raised £1,000 through Storybox gift box sales, thanks to our amazing customers, both individual and corporate, who have helped make this possible. Since we began our partnership with PIPS two years ago, we have donated just over £3,200. Every Storybox gift box contributes £1 to PIPS, alongside proceeds from our Lough Neagh Dawn and Dusk candles.
Why this matters
Mental health services across Northern Ireland have faced significant funding cuts over the past year while demand for support continues to rise. Charities like PIPS are working on the ground every day, providing accessible services and vital support for people experiencing mental health challenges.
Our donations do not solve everything, but they help keep these essential services visible, support their ongoing work, and contribute to keeping conversations about mental health open, helping to reduce stigma and ensure people know help is available when they need it.
How donations help
Here is an example of what contributions from Storybox can support:
• Immediate walk in support for anyone in crisis or struggling
• One to one counselling and bereavement support
• Crisis intervention and personalised stay safe plans
• Befriending services to reduce isolation
• Complementary therapies that support wellbeing and recovery
• Suicide prevention training and workshops for schools, workplaces and communities
These services are offered with compassion, without long waiting lists and without judgement. That accessibility matters more than ever.
Storybox has always been about championing small businesses, ethical makers, and social enterprises. It is about helping our local community thrive, supporting people who care deeply about what they create and how they create it. Giving back to charities supporting the most vulnerable in our society is a natural extension of that.
When you buy a gift from Storybox, you are not just bringing joy to the person receiving it, you are also supporting the maker behind it and contributing to the important work of local charities like PIPS.
That ripple effect is something we are incredibly proud of and something we will continue to build into everything we do.
